Horner Brew Fest
The Brew fest is an annual fundraiser to support the sustainability initiatives of the Horner Park Advisory Council – basically keeping things lean and green on the North Side. This year’s goal is to raise sufficient funds to treat and preserve 79 critically endangered ash trees. Horner Park is the only remaining city park with a grove of healthy ash trees. Over 25,000 ash have been cut down and removed from the rest of the park system because of the Emerald Ash Borer infestation.
Imagine four hours of cold craft beer from twenty of Chicago’s best local breweries and cider houses on a warm summer night in beautiful Horner Park.
But wait there’s more… Local food trucks will line the park, plus live music from Expo ’76, Chicago’s great local cover band with one of the area’s top horn section.
Tickets are $45 per person, which includes: Admission to the event, a tasting glass and samples from every attending brewery. That’s over 40 varieties of beer from which to choose. Participants must be at least 21 years old. We also offer a reduced rate of $10 for non-drinking, designated drivers.
