Mayor Emanuel and the City of Chicago have big dreams of becoming "the best big city for bicycling in America." We already have more than 200 miles of bike lanes, and on what's become affectionately known as "The Hipster Highway," also known as Milwaukee Avenue, a historic pre-prohibition gem exists called Paramount Room.
Not only is Paramount Room is an edifice pulsing with legendary detail, complete with a below ground speakeasy, but acts as a Milwaukee Avenue bike lane oasis with its built-in bike service station.
It seems only fitting we head in on Thursday, July 14th, to celebrate the release of our Radler, a cornerstone in Belgian cycling/drinking tradition at Paramount Room. We'll be on hand dishing our Belgian stemware and raffling a Penrose Summer pack.
