This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and growing the sales structure of Penrose Brewing Company located in Geneva, IL.
The Director of Sales will work with the rest of the brewery management structure to establish and carry out goals according to quality, profitability and production standards.
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility in schedule. Compensation will be dependent upon experience.
•3-5 years in a Brewery or Distributor Sales role
•A thorough understanding of the operations of a wholesaler
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
•Must be able to lift 35 lb. cases of beer, and move 165 lb. kegs of beer
•Set goals for distributor(s), and prepare and lead all GSMs and yearly ABP.
•Hold distributor(s) accountable to goals and implement plans to achieve these goals.
•Monitor Distributor inventory levels including Beer, POS, Samples and Taphandles
•Help determine pricing and manage all communications with wholesaler.
•Work to identify, set up and evaluate new wholesale opportunities to help grow the Penrose brand at a responsible rate
•Manage marketing budgets and spend(s) for all distributor partnerships.
•Maintain rep communication on upcoming releases, target accounts, allocations (when needed), and all inventory concerns.
•Schedule periodic ride-alongs to build repertoire with street reps and make connections at the account level
•Set and attain goals for individual reps and territories
MARKET PRESENCE AND EVENTS
•Responsible for building the market presence of Penrose Brewing Company
•Build account base by adding new accounts
•Build Customer awareness
•Perform account visits to service existing accounts
•Schedule Market events to help build Penrose drinker base
•Identify high profile, high volume accounts, set up meetings and finalize menu placements
•Work with brewery staff and management to communicate market pulse and demands
•Work with brewery management to plan brewing production and shipping schedule
•Communicate with account buyers and staff to convey the Penrose brand
•Communicate distributor performance to all Brewery staff and management
•Help develop release calendar to give the Brewery the best chance to succeed
•Convey beer and brewery information to accounts
